Kevin Campbell expects Yerry Mina to start for Everton v Manchester City
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has insisted that Everton defender Yerry Mina will likely return to the starting XI against Manchester City.
Rafa Benitez has a tough trip on his hands to the Etihad this weekend, but the Toffees go there off the back of a clean sheet against Spurs.
Campbell believes that Everton are much stronger with Mina available, with his threat in the final third a real bonus to have.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “I would expect him to start.
“Although, I’m not sure what’s happening because Everton haven’t defended as well without Yerry Mina, but they did against Spurs.
“I think he brings that bit more level of experience to the fold, he’s a threat in the opposition box and aerially he’s dominant. I could see him coming back.”

Get him in.
Mina has easily been the standout defender in Merseyside this season.
The Colombian started the season at risk of leaving the club, but has easily redeemed himself and proved he has a place in the future.
Benitez simply has to throw him back in, with Ben Godfrey and Michael Keane simply not up to standards so far this season.
On top of that, you have to add in the suspension to Mason Holgate, who has been nothing short of a liability at the back.
Mina has the pace to deal with City’s relentless style, but as Campbell said, he has the height to trouble them at the other end should we earn set-pieces regularly.
This one’s a no brainer.
In other Everton news, Campbell was blown away by one Toffees man after what he did last week.
