Kevin Ratcliffe blasts Gary Neville for what he said in Everton v Manchester City
BBC Radio Wales pundit Kevin Ratcliffe blasted Gary Neville for saying Manchester City should have been awarded a penalty in their 3-0 win against Everton on Sunday.
Man City were initially awarded a penalty in the first half when Stuart Atwell pointed to the spot after Raheem Sterling went down under a challenge by Michael Keane.
However, after consulting the pitchside monitor, Atwell overturned his decision despite Sky Sports pundit Neville saying it was a penalty.

Ex-Toffees star Ratcliffe couldn’t believe what Neville was saying though, hitting out at the former Manchester United man on Twitter.
He said: “Does Gary Neville realise if there’s no contact it can’t be a penalty?”
Good decision
VAR has attracted a lot of criticism – and rightly so.
But one of the good things about the introduction of the controversial technology is the pitchside monitor, which isn’t used as often as it should be.
It allowed Atwell to check his own decision again, rather than have someone sat at Stockley Park talking in his ear to tell him he was wrong.
While some may argue that it wasn’t a clear and obvious error, it obviously was for Atwell to turn around and say, ‘ok, I got that wrong initially so I’m changing my mind’.
In his eyes, the error was clear and obvious – and it was his error.
Either way, it didn’t affect the scoreline in what was yet another woeful performance by Rafa Benitez’s men.
Everton are properly in a rut and while we didn’t expect much from a match away at Manchester City, we did expect to see of desire, a bit of hard work and a bit of guts.
We didn’t get any of that and the Rafa out brigade are now only going to grow louder.
