Everton set for ‘huge’ boost after Calvert-Lewin admission – Kevin Campbell
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has insisted that Everton are set for a “huge” boost over the fitness of Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the near future.
The England international has admitted in the past week that he could be back for the Merseyside derby against Liverpool.
Campbell admitted that the medical team need to get it right, with Demarai Gray the latest to pull up with injury over the weekend.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “It’s a huge boost.
“That’s the key, not to take a risk. He might break down, so they’ve got to make sure he’s right, I’m sure they’ll welcome him back.
“They’ve missed him.”

Desperate.
Things are about the get even worst for the Toffees before they get better this season, if that is even possible.
Richarlison is suspended for the Brentford clash next week, and with doubts surrounding Gray too, Salomon Rondon is set to start.
That has been when we have been at our worst this season, and given our lack of attacking options, this isn’t one we’re particularly looking forward too.
Having Calvert-Lewin back available would be huge, and no matter how desperate, he has to be 100% or it isn’t worth it.
If our main man picks up another injury, it would be an even bigger blow than him returning for one week – so time to get it right.
In other Everton news, Campbell was blown away by one Toffees man after what he did last week.
