Don Hutchison urges Everton to be physical v Liverpool

Don Hutchison wants Everton to capitalise on Jurgen Klopp’s Merseyside derby concerns ahead of next week’s game v Liverpool.

In the Premier League’s first set of mid-week fixtures this season, an out of form Toffees side will take on their arch rivals on Wednesday night.

Looking at recent form and the gulf in class in the two sides, the Reds go in as clear favourites, but Hutchison, someone who’s played for both the clubs, believes Everton have a chance of ruffling Liverpool’s feathers.

Reacting to Klopp’s comments on the Merseyside derby, Hutchison wrote, via his personal Twitter account, “TBH Everton should pin this on the wall in the home dressing room and get right/stuck into Liverpool.”

Feisty affair incoming

Games against these two are always known to be feisty and Klopp’s comments are already making things appetising.

It’s nigh on impossible to outplay this Liverpool side, given their quality and also the number of injuries in the Toffees ranks.

However, what Rafa Benitez’s men can do is be assertive and robust and let the Liverpool players know that they’re in for a fight.

Everton

Hutchison urges the Everton players to get stuck in which is precisely what they must do.

It’s time they show this team that they’re not going to be bullied and accordingly, Klopp will need to vary his tactics.

Any result bar a defeat would be a good one and we cannot wait for the action to unfold.
