Kevin Campbell shares how Everton could use Richarlison v Liverpool

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell feels that Richarlison will come straight into the starting line-up for the clash against Liverpool.

The former Toffees striker, however, is not sure whether he would directly replace Salomon Rondon from the line-up.

The Brazilian missed Everton’s 1-0 defeat against Brentford last week.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell has revealed that he is not sure whether Richarlison will replace Rondon, as it entirely depends on how Benitez views the game tactically: I can see how comes straight into the team.

“I am not sure if he is going to be direct swap for him [Rondon].

“If Dominic Calvert-Lewin isn’t fit he might want to go with two up top.

“It’s just depends on how Rafa Benitez wants to play. You can go two up top, or you can go Richarlison up top with one in behind him.

“So, it doesn’t matter how he wants to play. Probably he might go with one up top. Richarlison could always be that one behind him.”

Benitez is under tremendous pressure with the Toffees now failing to win in their last seven games in the Premier League.

The Toffees are heading into the Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Wednesday bereft of confidence, and Benitez must get his tactics spot on.

Richarlison, 24, is certain to start but it will be interesting to see whether Rondon retains his place in the side or not.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are plotting January loan-to-buy bid for centre-mid hailed by Jack Grealish last month.
