Simon Jordan reacts to Neil Warnock's Everton and Rafa Benitez barb

Simon Jordan was left chuckling on talkSPORT today (3 December) after Neil Warnock delivered his verdict on Everton and Rafa Benitez.

Warnock took to the radio station earlier on Friday morning and aired his views on the Benitez, suggesting he has no sympathy for the current position the Spaniard find himself in, without a victory in eight games.

The recently-sacked Middlesbrough boss also claimed that Benitez threatened to sue him after remarks he once made about his side.

Ex-Crystal Palace owner Jordan followed his old manager on talkSPORT, on the ‘White and Jordan’ show.

He introduced himself onto the show by saying: “I’m still laughing from Neil Warnock’s comments this morning about wanting Benitez to stay longer at Everton to suffer some more, on the Breakfast show.

“I heard Neil talking about Everton’s plight and Rafa Benitez’s plight, there’s no love lost there between Neil and Rafa Benitez, I can assure you.”

No sympathy

Benitez certainly isn’t getting any love from Jordan and Warnock as the former Crystal Palace duo laugh at his current plight at Everton.

After a good start to the season that saw the Toffees reside in the European places, everything has fallen apart on the Blue half of Mersyeside.

Injuries and suspension have killed his side’s momentum with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Abdoulaye Doucoure all spending time on the sidelines this season, the England international in particular.

He may be boosted by the return of Calvert-Lewin soon, though, as well as Colombian centre-back Yerry Mina.

Once he gets his full squad back together, Benitez will then feel confident that he can arrest their current slump and shoot up the Premier League table.

However, the fixtures are coming thick and fast over the festive period, and Benitez needs a positive result soon.

In other Everton news, this Blues star linked with a major transfer this week could return against Arsenal after Rafa’s Friday update.
