Demari Gray signing of the season as Everton ace stars v Arsenal – Sky pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Demarai Gray has been the signing of the season so far, according to former Everton striker Kevin Campbell.
Gray, 25, joined the Blues for just £1.5million when he left Bayer Leverkusen to return to the Premier League.
He’s since been in stunning form and grabbed a stoppage-time winner in spectacular fashion against Arsenal on Monday.

Campbell has been blown away by the progress Gray has made on Merseyside and feels he’s finally starting to live up to the hype that surrounded him earlier in his career.
“For me, Demarai Gray at £1.5million is the signing of the season so far,” Campbell told Goodison News.
“What we’re seeing is him fulfilling some of the potential that he showed at Leicester in patches.
“He’s more consistent at Everton and he’s got the platform, that’s the thing.
“That goal would win any game, let’s be honest.
“ It was a fitting way to win the game and I believe he’s broken his Premier League goalscoring record and we’re not even at Christmas yet.
“That just shows how well he’s doing.”

Gray has now scored five goals and supplied two assists in his 15 Premier League appearances for Everton.
He’s grabbed two in his last two against Liverpool and Arsenal after Rafa Benitez failed to name the winger in his starting line-up on a few occasions beforehand.
Gray was a player who was tipped to have a big future when he burst onto the scene at Birmingham and eventually ended up joining Leicester.
He did struggle for starts at the King Power but he’s now got a manager who’s showing a lot of faith in him and clearly that’s working.
In other Everton news, an ex-Premier League referee was horrified by this controversial moment in the win over Arsenal.
