Rafa Benitez not intending to freeze out Everton defender Lucas Digne
Rafa Benitez is not considering the idea of freezing out Everton left-back Lucas Digne, according to The Liverpool Echo.
The Frenchman was axed from the matchday squad against Arsenal on Monday after falling out with the manager.
This happened because he was questioning the team’s style of play and tactics, but Benitez is not expected to freeze him completely.

However, his future still hangs in the balance.
Sort it out
Digne is one of Everton’s best players and for the manager to be at odds with him is a big deal.
There are disagreements at every professional club and they need to get past it as quickly as possible.
Benitez does not have any specialist left-back to call upon so he’s got to rely on Digne’s availability.
Ben Godfrey may have done well there against Arsenal, but that’s not a position he excels at and would prefer to revert to playing at centre-back.

Digne is also one of the most creative players in this team so he quickly needs to get onside with the manager.
Hopefully, he’s back in the eleven for the next game and is back to the form we expect from him.
This should not deter from the fact that another full-back must be signed in January as the squad is extremely thin in that department.
