Everton target Daniel Jebbison open to January Burton Albion exit

Everton target Daniel Jebbison is open to leaving his loan club Burton Albion in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

The Canada born England youth international, who’s still a Sheffield United player, has also been linked with a move to West Ham and Liverpool.

The Toffees have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old since the summer and his willingness to move in January may see them speed up their pursuit.

Good move?

Despite being only 18, Jebbison seems like the kind of player who’s on the periphery of a first-team breakthrough for a Premier League side.

In fact, he even bagged a goal earlier this year against Everton for the Toffees, so he’s certainly one with an eye for the back of the net.

There’s plenty to admire about his tenacity and application and it does not seem like he is a player still finding his footing in the game.

His current deal at Sheffield United expires in the summer of 2023 and the Blades have an option to recall the player.

Burton manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is understood to be a keen admirer of the player and has labelled him “magnificent“.

Should Everton show a keen interest in him and try signing him in January, he should be open to leaving Sheffield United, who currently play in the Championship.

Finch Farm has better facilities in order to help him develop into a fine prospect for the future.

The next few weeks are key as it all hinges on the 18-year-old’s final decision.
