Adam Jones slams Everton first half performance v Crystal Palace
Everton journalist Adam Jones shared his disappointment at the Toffees’ performance in the first half against Crystal Palace.
Rafa Benitez’s side are away at Selhurst Park this afternoon following their 2-1 win over Arsenal earlier in the week (6 December).
However, they have struggled to get control of the game and are 1-0 down at halftime after Conor Gallagher’s 41st minute goal.

Writing on his Twitter account in the first half, Liverpool Echo journalist Jones said: “Everton have got no rhythm at all. Any momentum from Monday has completely evaporated.”
Disappointing
Monday night’s victory over Arsenal was a real confidence boost, particularly with the way the three points were earned through Demarai Gray’s stunning late winner.
Following a run of eight games without a win, beating the Gunners had the potential to be the point where our season turned a corner.
However, based off the first half showing at Selhurst Park, the team have gone back to their underwhelming selves.

Against a Palace side who came into this game on a three-match losing streak, this is a big opportunity to record back to back victories for the first time since September.
Instead it was the Eagles who looked the team who had just had a morale-boosting win and they asserted their dominance over Everton straight away.
It was attack after attack from the home side and they had nine shots in the opening half an hour.
In comparison, the Toffees looked disjointed, could not sustain any pressure and failed to truly test Vincente Guaita.
Palace deservedly took the lead when Gallagher struck four minutes before the break.
