Andy Jacobs tips Everton for relegation in bizarre TalkSPORT rant
Everton have been tipped to be relegated from the Premier League by talkSPORT host Andy Jacobs.
The Toffees are currently 14th in the table, eight points above the bottom three, but have won just one of their last 11 matches.
On Thursday night (16 December), Rafa Benitez’s team earned a hard-fought point in a 1-1 draw away at Chelsea.

Commenting on Everton’s performance at Stamford Bridge, Jacobs said on-air yesterday (17 December):
“They were pathetic. They should have lost five or six nil. I guarantee in their next game they’ll get absolutely hammered.
“I think they are going down. I think they are one of the worst teams I have ever seen in my life. They were pathetic.”
Bizarre
These bizarre comments can probably be put down to the fact that Jacobs is diehard Chelsea fan and seems to be frustrated by his side not picking up a win against the Toffees.
The high-flying Blues were big favourites going into the game on Thursday night, particularly as Rafa Benitez was forced to make five changes to his team through injury and illness.

Demarai Gray, Salomon Rondon, Fabian Delph, Richarlison and Andros Townsend were all absent at Stamford Bridge, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies and Yerry Mina already sidelined.
It meant that there were opportunities for youngsters Ellis Simms and Jarrad Branthwaite, with the latter scoring the equaliser as the Toffees stood firm to claim a creditable draw.
‘Creditable’ is not a word associated with Everton much recently and there is no hiding from the fact it has been a disappointing campaign overall.
But to suggest that they will go down seems pretty far-fetched from Jacobs. Definitely a case of sour grapes.
