Chelsea want Everton man Lucas Digne as Vitaliy Mykolenko set for January 1 move
Chelsea are interested in signing Everton left-back Lucas Digne in January, with the Frenchman nearing an exit, according to Sunday People.
The newspaper has reported in his print edition (19 December, page 51) that the Goodison Park outfit have agreed an £18million deal with Dynamo Kyiv for the signature of Vitaliy Mykolenko, 22.
The Ukrainian left-back will join the Toffees on January 1, and that is set to spell the end for Digne, 28, with the Stamford Bridge outfit keen to sign him as cover for the injured Ben Chilwell.

One in, one out
The France international and Rafa Benitez have fallen out, and it is safe to say that the former has played his last game for the club.
Given his quality, Digne is not short of suitors, and a move to Chelsea would definitely appeal to him.
The London giants have the cash to spend, and if Everton play their cards right, they could make some profit from a sale.
Given their Financial Fair Play woes, a sizeable fee would come in handy, and they have already secured a long-term replacement in the position.
Ben Godfrey has done well playing as a makeshift left-back over the last three games, but Everton need a natural option, and they seem to have landed one in Mykolenko.

The highly-rated youngster has proven himself in Ukraine and will now be eager to do so in the best league in the world.
With him set to join on the first day of 2022, it appears everything has been sorted out, and Benitez will be glad to have a new left-back.
Digne leaving Goodison Park would not be a disaster as he is not suited to the manager’s pragmatic style of play.
