Rafa Benitez shares Covid details as Everton squad down to bare bones
Everton will face Burnley in the Premier League clash on Boxing Day.
Ahead of the match, Rafa Benitez has confirmed that the Toffees squad has been severely affected by Covid situations.
The Toffees have requested to postpone the Christmas showdown but it was rejected by the Premier League.

Benitez said, as shared by Athletic journalist, Paddy Boyland: “Rafa Benitez says Everton have nine outfield players and three goalkeepers available currently.
“Six injuries, five players with COVID.”
Unfair
The Boxing Day fixtures are part of the British tradition and fans all over the country enjoy it.
However, this is a critical situation where the player’s health is at risk.
Already, Liverpool against Leeds has been postponed due to rising Covid cases, while the Wolves against Watford game has been cancelled as well.

With only nine outfit players and three goalkeepers available, Everton are down to bare bones. On top of that, five players have picked up Covid symptoms.
It’s baffling how the Premier League can allow the game to continue in such a terrible situation.
At the moment, the game will take place. However, the Premier League could be forced to take action if Everton report further covid cases.
The Toffees are struggling badly in the league, but they are heading into this match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
