Everton want Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick in 2022
Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick has emerged as a 2022 target for Everton after some scouting trips, according to 90min.
The Toffees have watched the Czech Republic international, 25, play in recent months, and the scouting reports on him have been “hugely positive.”
However, Everton are not the only ones keen on Schick, with Manchester City, Tottenham, Arsenal, West Ham and Manchester United keeping tabs on him too.

Leverkusen are not in a hurry to sell him and will not be listening to offers in January, and given that his contract does not expire until 2025, his fee would be well in excess of £50million when they are ready to cash in on him.
Needed?
The Goodison Park outfit currently have Dominic Calvert-Lewin as their first-choice striker, with Salomon Rondon and Cenk Tosun as covers.
Richarlison can also play in the role, while under-23s starlets Lewis Dobbin and Ellis Simms are also available to Rafa Benitez.
However, Everton could do with another quality hitman going forward, and Schick would be a solid option.
He has bagged 16 goals in the 2021-22 Bundesliga campaign, and was one of the best players at the European Championships in the summer.
Schick finished the tournament as joint top scorer and was also nominated for the FIFA Puskas Award for his audacious long-range effort against Scotland in the group stage.

He definitely can help improve the Toffees attack, but it is hard to see them splashing the cash on another striker as long as they have Calvert-Lewin available.
Benitez only plays one striker in his starting XI, and a top player will not be keen to join them for a place on the bench.
Besides, their Financial Fair Play woes at the moment mean they cannot spend big on another signing anytime soon, and a move for Schick looks very unlikely.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are plotting January loan-to-buy bid for centre-mid hailed by Jack Grealish last month.
