Farhad Moshiri requestions wide-scale Everton review this season

Farhad Moshiri has requested a wide-scale review into Everton events over recent years at the club.

The Toffees have gone through numerous managers, and have now let crucial staff of those years such as Marcel Brands leave the club.

Patrick Boyland has reported that Moshiri’s review will go through every aspect of the footballing side of the club.

Writing in his latest piece for The Atheltic, Boyland shared the latest from behind-the-scenes at Goodison Park.

“These are just temporary solutions while owner Farhad Moshiri and the Everton board conduct a wide-scale strategic review into the events of recent years,” he wrote.

“Requested by Moshiri and implemented with the help of the board, the strategic review is set to go right through every aspect of the football side of the club.

“It is likely to take some time to run its full course, and will involve conversations with key departments.”

Long time coming.

This is something that has been needed doing for years at Goodison Park, and Moshiri is likely to find things that he doesn’t entirely like.

Most of the failings have come off his own back, throwing cash at numerous different managers who were never succeeding in Merseyside.

Ronald Koeman was given millions before being kicked out of the door, and then the likes of Carlo Ancelotti too, with most of his signings leaving us in the Financial Fair play warzone.

Rafa Benitez has been left to pick up the pieces and with limited signings, it is no surprise to see us where we are.

Moshiri can do all of the reviews he likes, but it isn’t avoiding the fact that most of this mess has been caused by himself throughout his time here.
