Mike Parry tears into ‘Shambolic’ leadership at Everton
Mike Parry has slammed the Everton board after Vitaliy Mykolenko’s signing was officially announced on January 1.
The 22-year-old left-back has been signed as a replacement for Lucas Digne who appears to be on his way out of Goodison Park.
The Frenchman is believed to have had a falling out with Rafa Benitez which made his time at the club untenable.
Reacting to this development, Parry said, via his personal Twitter account, “He’s another wild gamble, not properly researched and to replace a world class full-back who the board have decided to get rid of because he challenged how competent Benitez is. Shambolic leadership at Everton.”
Shocking
We don’t see where Parry is getting his information from as to Mykolenko not being scouted properly.
He has been linked with a move to the club for a while and they possibly fast-tracked it given how Digne looked set to leave.
Much like how the fan pointed out, he is a young player with a high resale value.

That is exactly the kind of signings Everton must look to make, given their past failures to circumnavigate FFP rules.
Parry is probably upset because he does not like Benitez, but that is not what is happening here.
He’s in no position to criticise the Mykolenko signing without him even kicking a ball.
Digne’s exit made any left-back’s arrival important and the Toffees deserve credit for pulling it off this quickly.
