Alan Myers not aware of Everton move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara

Alan Myers has shared that he isn’t aware of Everton sealing a major move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara this week.

With Nathan Patterson set for his medical at Goodison Park from Ibrox, rumours also started swirling around the Finland international, too.

Kamara has been linked with a move to the Premier League for months now with the Toffees one of those said to be interested.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Myers responded to a fan questioning whether a deal for Patterson could lead to Kamara also making the move.

“Not that I’m aware,” he wrote.

One, not two.

It looks as though a move for Kamara may be one step too far.

Rafa Benitez has been smart by finally addressing the major problems at each side of the defence with Patterson set to follow Vitaliy Mykolenko to Goodison Park.

There are clearly many more issues within this squad, though and Kamara’s ability to control a game from the base of midfield would be welcomed in Merseyside.

Given that Patterson could cost up to £16million, Kamara may be a similar price given that he has only recently just signed a new contract in Glasgow.

With Financial Fair Play Rules said to be tight around the club, the £30million+ spend already will mean that sales will likely be needed before any further business.

Lucas Digne is the first name likely to leave, and the Frenchman could pay for both Patterson and Mykolenko, but not Kamara as things stand.
