Everton-linked Phillipe Coutinho not keen on return to Brazil
Everton have been reportedly joined by Aston Villa in the race to sign FC Barcelona attacker Phillipe Coutinho.
According to Goal, the Brazil international is keen on a change of air as he aims to be playing regular once again.
It’s understood that he’s not keen on returning to his home country so a move to the Premier League might well be on the cards.

Worth the hassle?
The Toffees are in desperate need of some creativity from the middle of the park.
A Coutinho in his prime would certainly have added some bite to this struggling side.
However, the player he is today may not be worth the hassle and the heavy wages that come with it.
Also, given his Liverpool links, he may not be open to the idea of joining their arch rivals.

The club must target someone younger, possibly who’s yet to peak, to fill in that void in the team.
Coutinho may be good to sell merchandise and get fans excited, but he may not be an ideal fit for the team.
Even though he won the Champions League as recently as 2020 with Bayern Munich, he played a bit-part role there, and may not have it in his tank to play over 30 league games in a season.
