Roma eye move for Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin in January
AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho could make a loan move for Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin in the January transfer window, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport.
The midfielder is currently out of favour under Rafa Benitez and he is not in the Spaniard’s first-team plans.
The report claims that the Serie A giants expect to move for their new midfielder around the middle of this month.

Get rid
The defensive midfielder joined the Toffees in 2019 from Mainz 05, but he has hardly played for the club due to injuries.
In three years since his move, he has managed only five games in all competitions, and he doesn’t seem to have impressed Benitez either.
This season, he has made only one start in the Premier League, and a further two appearances have come from the bench.
Gbamin started against Wolves in November but he was so poor that Benitez hauled him off at the break.

Mourinho wanted to sign a midfielder during the summer but failed to sign Granit Xhaka from Arsenal.
Boubacar Kamara is another option for them but Gbmain appears to be a realistic target.
It remains to be seen whether Everton could be interested in doing a loan deal here. They would prefer a permanent sale, but very few clubs would be interested in doing that.
At least, they can get rid of his wages for the rest of the season if a deal can be agreed.
