Newcastle to complete Kieran Trippier deal today, want quick Everton deal for Lucas Digne next – report
Newcastle are hoping to progress quickly in their pursuit of Everton player Lucas Digne this week, according to the Telegraph.
It is reported that the mega-rich club will complete their move for Kieran Trippier today (07 January) and move on quickly.
The newspaper report on their website that hopes are high that a move for Digne can be concluded next after his fallout with Rafa Benitez.

Newcastle’s interest is not new, but as they get ready to announce the first deal of their new era, all attention will switch elsewhere immediately.
It looks as though that could be towards Digne.
Eddie Howe is being backed in the window, but money alone may not be enough for our left-back to make the switch, regardless of his own situation.
Benitez is said to want up to £25million+ for the wing-back, something which could help fund more moves of his own.

No chance?
They say money talks, but it looks as though Digne isn’t exactly thrilled by the prospect of being in a relegation battle this season.
Newcastle can throw money around, but the truth is that they will still face a real battle to stay in the Premier League this season.
Fabrizio Romano has consistently reported that there is no chance of Newcastle tempting Digne, and that appears likely despite contrasting reports.
Benitez and the Toffees need this sale, clubs know that so a deal for the right party looks like it could happen quickly.
Despite that, Newcastle may be forced to look elsewhere during this window.
