European football expert provides Everton Alexis Sanchez update
Everton have previously expressed interest in bringing Inter Milan attacker Alexis Sanchez to Goodison Park [Daily Mail] but they could’ve hit a stumbling block.
European football expert, Andy Brassell, is less than convinced that the rumours will come to fruition with Inter unlikely to sell such a player in the midst of a title challenge.
Rafael Benitez is keen to bring in a creative player but he has already lost out on Philippe Coutinho to Aston Villa in this transfer window.
“I would be surprised if Simone Inzaghi the coach would want to let him go before the end of the season because they’re going for the title, a little bit of depth is nice,” Brassell said on the Hawksbee and Jacob’s show.
“He’s often been very, very good, closer to the Arsenal Alexis Sanchez than the Manchester United one, but can Everton expect him to play every week? I’m not convinced.”

Signing Alexis Sanchez would require a massive financial effort on Everton’s part and there are understandably big questions over the deal.
The 33-year-old would likely demand a big wage packet to make the move to Merseyside and with it comes huge risks.
The Chilean failed to make an impact during his time at Manchester United and he was essentially forced out of the club due to his poor performances.
He has somewhat rekindled his form in Italy but there are still major questions over whether he could hit the same heights back in England.
And at 33 years of age, even bigger questions would be asked about the future vision of the club after signing two young defenders already in January.
if you compare the pros and cons of the deal, most Toffees would probably come to the conclusion that they’d rather look elsewhere for the spark they so desperately need.
