Serie A expert says Alexis Sanchez 'open to a move' to Everton
Alexis Sanchez could be closer to a move to Everton as Serie A expert Adam Clancy reveals the Chilean would be open to a move away from Inter Milan.
The 33-year-old has found game time hard to come by at Inter Milan this season and he has now been offered out to clubs on loan.
Everton have been linked with signing the former Arsenal and Manchester United forward [Daily Mail] and Clancy feels he could opt to quit Inter.
Speaking to Give Me Sport, Clancy said: “Sanchez isn’t entirely happy. He put up an Instagram story earlier in the season about Ferraris being left on garages or something like that, so I think he would be open to a move.”
Everton have looked devoid of ideas when creating chances ever since James Rodriguez left the club in September.
The signing of Sanchez could fix most of the problem in chance creation if he can find the form that saw him become one of the most feared opponents during his time at Arsenal.
Benitez will hope he does find that form again and he can help drag the Toffees up the Premier League table from 15th – where they currently lie.
Signing Sanchez though would surely mean that one of Everton’s more exciting talents would have to make way.
Demarai Gray has arguably been the club’s best player this season after his £1.7million move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
On the other flank, Anthony Gordon has started to find his feet at Premier League level and is a fan favourite at Goodison Park having come through the club’s youth ranks.
But Benitez can’t be thinking about that when a player of Sanchez’s quality and stature is available, he needs to be signed.
In other Everton news, this Toffee is close to an exit with a medical now underway at his supposed new club.
