Paul Merson shocked if Dominic Calvert-Lewin agent isn’t looking for Everton exit
Paul Merson has admitted he would be shocked if the agents of Dominic Calvert-Lewin were not pushing for an Everton exit.
Rafa Benitez has fallen out with players already at the Toffees, selling Lucas Digne through the week to Aston Villa after clashing.
Merson took aim at the Everton board for backing the manager and selling one of their best players, before suggesting Calvert-Lewin could be next.

Writing in his Daily Star column over the weekend (print edition, 15 January), Merson made the glum prediciton.
“These Everton fans are going to be there for years and years,” he said. “Rafa’s going to be there for five minutes.
“Don’t start selling their best players. I’m disappointed in the board as well, letting that happen. And I’d be surprised if Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s agent isn’t putting him about now as well.
“Where are Everton going?”

Shocker.
This would be the final straw for many, and rightly so.
Calvert-Lewin has been linked with an exit in the past, but the Toffees haven’t really had to deal with him pushing for that.
What would happen if he was to flick that switch and demand it? Would Farhad Moshiri just let him leave and back the likes of Benitez?
Merson is spot on, the way things are going, it won’t be long until others looking to pack up and leave, with Richarlison another who could be in that camp.
Digne may have given us £25million, but Calvert-Lewin would need to be triple that minimum, and nothing else can be accepted.
Let’s hope that the England international is just concentrating on returning to top form, and any kind of transfer is the last thing on his mind.
