Jim White: All roads leading to Duncan Ferguson getting Everton job

Jim White has insisted that all roads are leading to Everton handing their manager role to Duncan Ferguson.

Rafa Benitez was shown the exit door over the weekend, and moves to bring in Roberto Martinez quickly have failed.

White has shared that Ferguson looks to be the leading man for the role, although it’s unclear whether it’s permanent or an interim basis.

Speaking live on talkSPORT White and Jordan this morning (18 January 10:10 am) the update was shared.

“Not such happy times at the moment at Everton,” he said.

“Now, we hear that the Belgian FA has blocked any proposal of Martinez combining his roles with the Belgian national side in what is a World Cup year.

“It seems Simon, that all roads lead to Big Dunc. Duncan Ferguson much loved, of course, at Goodison Park.”

Get it done.

What is the harm in handing the role to Ferguson? He has been there, done it and knows exactly the passion it takes to succeed at Goodison Park.

Farhad Moshiri needs to stop kidding himself that these so-called big names such as Benitez and Carlo Ancelotti can come in and do a job, we have seen that fail so many times already in his reign.

Ferguson deserves a longer crack of the whip after coming to our rescue numerous times, it is time to give it to him until the end of the season, at least.

These players need to be rocketed, with their efforts simply embarrassing so far this season at times, it is simply hard to watch.

Ferguson is the man to turn them around, and giving him the power and the voice to do just that should see this turned around.
