Duncan Ferguson looked distraught after Everton loss v Aston Villa

Duncan Ferguson looked distraught after Everton loss v Aston Villa on Saturday, claims Bullens View co-host Benj Winstanley.

The Toffees’ bad run of form did not take a turn for the better against Steven Gerrard’s side as they suffered a 1-0 defeat.

Ferguson was asked to step in as interim manager after the club decided to part ways with Rafa Benitez.

After the game, Winstanley said, via his personal Twitter account, “Just bumped into Duncan. He looks distraught.”

Change needed

Ferguson is good to have on board, but unfortunately, is not the man to take this club forward by sitting at the Goodison Park hot seat.

The club need to bring in someone with a clear identity and one who could help take this team to the next level.

Wayne Rooney may be a good shout but this job has arrived a tad early in his managerial career and the same can be said about Fabio Cannavaro.

There really aren’t any standout candidates either, but Farhad Moshiri should look to tempt Graham Potter.

Despite all his comments about wanting to stay at Brighton, he would make a fortune at Everton and would also be managing a bigger club.

These kinds of results clearly cannot continue any longer.

In other Everton news, the club has been urged to make a move for a ‘World-class’ Champions League manager who’s admired by Pep Guardiola & Jurgen Klopp
