Jenas destroys Everton live on BT Sport outlining Goodison Park 'problem'

Jermaine Jenas has destroyed Everton live on BT Sport as the Blues hosted Aston Villa at Goodison Park.

Duncan Ferguson was in charge of the Toffees for the first time in his second spell as interim manager, as the club look to plan a long term solution.

A series of disappointing managerial appointments has left the club deflated with the mood at Goodison Park well past boiling point.

“The level of performance has been way below par, it has been shocking in comparison to what this club is expecting from this group of players which is what makes this game even more interesting,” said Jermaine Jenas live on BT Sport.

“It’s almost the perfect game for the players, the perfect game for Duncan Ferguson because this place [Goodison Park] is going to be rocking and I don’t feel like this place has been rocking for a long period of time which is part of the problem.”

Go time for Dunc

Almost every game is a must-win for Everton now. The team can’t afford to continue on their current run of form with only two wins in their last ten games; if that continues you can expect to see the Toffees in the Championship next season.

Thankfully, big Dunc is now in charge for the foreseeable future with the Blues legend bound to turn the atmosphere around at Goodison Park.

His values are synonymous with Everton’s and his passion for the club will undoubtedly rub off on his players giving the team something they have lacked for a long time – fight.

Ferguson will benefit massively from being part of the fold at Finch Farm under several of the previous unsuccessful managers.

He is a sponge when it comes to football and would have learned a lot from some of the excellent managers that have taken charge of the Toffees, more importantly, he has learnt what not to do as he aims to lift the club.
