Jim White sends Twitter message ahead of Duncan Ferguson taking charge of Everton v Aston Villa

Jim White has delivered a Twitter message as Duncan Ferguson prepares to lead Everton against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.

The Toffees legend will once again be in charge as the club hunts a permanent replacement for Rafa Benitez.

Farhad Moshiri hasn’t made huge progress in the search, with Ferguson himself admitting he would love the opportunity.

The Toffees shared some quotes from Ferguson ahead of the Goodison Park showdown, with a huge atmosphere expected.

Writing on his personal Twitter account ahead of the game, White shared his love for Big Dunc ahead of his first clash in charge.

“Just love big Duncan,” he wrote.

Here we go.

Goodison Park is going to be electric this afternoon.

A Saturday lunchtime kick-off against an Aston Villa side led by Steven Gerrard, the ingredients are there for a fiery encounter.

One thing Ferguson will guarantee is fireworks and passion, as well as a side who will run themselves into the ground.

We all remember what happened during his first interim spell in charge, and everyone is hoping for the same in the first game in charge of his new spell.

Three points here would help Ferguson’s cause of getting the job on a permanent basis, and everything would point that way if it did happen.

Moshiri will be watching on, and the Goodison crowd will be going wild for Big Dunc, especially if he gets the win.

That is what has been missing for so long, a manager that gets what the fans want and connects with them – time to prove yourself.
