Farhad Moshiri to jet into England in next 24 hours as Everton D-Day for manager nears – David Ornstein

Farhad Moshiri is jetting into England as Everton are set for major talks on Friday over their new manager.

That’s according to David Ornstein, who has shared that Frank Lampard and Vitor Pereira are still battling for the role.

The Athletic journalist has surprisingly reported a twist, though, with other managers said to be in the running to take over at Goodison Park.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Thursday afternoon, Ornstein shared the major update that will raise eyebrows.

“Everton to do latest interviews on Friday as manager process continues.

“Everton owner Farhad Moshiri coming to the UK to oversee. Lampard and Pereira leading, and other names in the mix. Ideally, appoint before the transfer window shuts.”

Here he comes.

Moshiri will be looking at the scenes at Goodison Park, and hopefully, they have made his vision clearer moving forward.

It is interesting to see that other names are still in the running, given that we have been bombarded by Pereira and Lampard in recent days.

Wayne Rooney has disappeared from recent reports when at one stage it looked as though he was the clear candidate to take over from Rafa Benitez.

With Moshiri coming back into England in the next 24 hours, though, we can expect some real concrete movement in the imminent future.

Fingers crossed, he finally makes the decision.
