Frank Lampard will hold further talks with Everton hierarchy on Thursday
Everton are set to interview Frank Lampard for the second time on Thursday in their bid to land a manager, according to The Telegraph.
The Toffees held talks with the former England international midfielder last week, and he remains a strong contender for the job as he is keen on working in the Premier League again.
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has come under severe scrutiny during the appointment process, especially after speaking with former Porto and Olympiacos manager Vitor Pereira, and he will now hold further talks with Lampard later today.

The Blues chairman did not listen to fans last time out and it backfired, with Rafa Benitez not lasting long in the job and leaving the club in danger of relegating.
It appears he is now ready to listen to them and could decide against giving Pereira the job, despite the Portuguese emerging as clear favourites earlier this week.

Lampard was sacked by Chelsea a little over a year ago and has since held talks about getting back in the dugout when the positions at Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Norwich City became vacant.
He is now firmly in the frame to take over on Merseyside and remains under serious consideration to land the job.
The fans appear to favour his appointment ahead of Pereira’s, and should the board get fully convinced, he could land the job, with an announcement expected in the coming days.
The former Derby County boss took the Championship side to the play-offs final back in 2018-19, and that boosted his chances of getting the Chelsea job.
While his return to Stamford Bridge did not go as expected, he impressed with his squad of youngsters during their transfer ban, and he could get the best out of Everton stars, with the club in almost identical circumstances.
