‘Toxic’ Everton scenes lead to Farhad Moshiri making Frank Lampard leading contender for Everton job – BBC

Farhad Moshiri has now made Frank Lampard a “leading” contender for the Everton job this week, according to the BBC.

They have reported on their website that “Toxic” scenes outside Goodison Park this week have caused a re-think.

Moshiri was said to have Vitor Pereira as his favourite, something that led to mass fan protests outside the stadium.

Fans took to Goodison Park and decided to make their thoughts clear with graffiti on the outside of the stadium.

It was a clear message too, already stating “Pereira out” before a decision had even been made, with Lampard supported in the same message.

Moshiri is still said to be considering making a move for Pereira, but it looks as though Lampard has overtaken him in the pecking order.

Smart.

Finally, Moshiri looks to have taken what the fans want into account as he makes the next decision in a long list of mistakes.

Lampard would be a smart decision, and it would go with the fans after the shambles of appointing Rafa Benitez over the summer.

The former Chelsea man knows the Premier League inside and out, plays an attacking brand of football and will not be afraid to play the youth.

With the signings of Nathan Patterson and Vitaly Mykolenko this month, there has been a shift to the youth, and it could be a match made in heaven.

Time to do the right thing, Moshiri, take these protests as advice, Pereira has no right being in the dugout at Goodison Park.
