Cenk Tosun rejects Hull City in favour of Everton stay
Everton striker Cenk Tosun has rejected an offer from Championship side Hull City to stay at Goodison Park for the remainder of his contract, according to Fanatic journalist Gokmen Ozcan.
The Tigers have recently been taken over and their new owners are already looking to stamp their authority on the MKM Stadium, sacking Grant McCann as manager.
Tosun has played just 10 minutes of football for the Toffees this season, four of which came against Hull in the FA Cup with the other six in the 4-1 Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool.
He has been left out of the majority of Everton squads this season despite being fully fit but he still wants to stay and see out his contract at the club.
“Hull City also made a transfer offer to Cenk Tosun. However, the National striker did not accept it. Cenk plans to complete his contract with Everton,” said the Turkish journalist.
Out of spite?
When you look at all the facts at hand, it seems to make no sense in Tosun staying at Goodison Park.

He is featuring so little that most fans have probably forgotten he is still at the club and Hull offers him a great opportunity to find some form.
So for him to reject that move looks like a mistake unless he is happy to do very little while earning his paycheck on Merseyside.
If that is the case, it shows a severe lack of ambition on his part and club in Europe won’t be very encouraged by that.
Tosun really should have taken the option to join the Tigers and help them to steer clear of relegation and get his own career back on track.
He hasn’t got many big moves left in him at 30 years of age so he should be making the most of it while he can.
