Everton-linked Donny van de Beek upset over failure to secure Manchester United exit
Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek nearly joined Everton in August, according to Manchester Evening News.
The newspaper’s Jan 28 edition claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told him he would get playing time and he regrets listening to him rather than leaving for Goodison Park.
He is still understood to be ‘upset’ as the club are contemplating whether or not to let him leave on loan as deadline day is fast approaching.

Alex Crook has claimed that the Toffees are still in the hunt for the 25-year-old.
Should’ve joined
Van de Beek’s career has stagnated in England and he would’ve benefited from joining Everton.
James Rodriguez was on his way out and the club needed a creative midfielder who could break the lines.
The Dutchman is an extremely mobile player who would’ve not just provided assists but also have scored a few goals.
While Marcel Brands has overseen many disastrous transfers, he must be given credit for doing what he did to try and bring van de Beek to Goodison Park.

Whether or not the Toffees look to sign him before deadline day remains to be seen.
They’re still in the need for a midfielder and signing him for a five-month loan will not be the worst idea in the world.
With days left to go, they’re still managerless and seemingly directionless as they’re in a relegation battle.
