Everton to hold urgent Friday night board meeting, decision could be made on new manager – Sky Sports
Everton are set to hold an urgent Friday evening board meeting as they close in on appointing a new manager.
That’s according to Sky Sports, who have broke the news after final rounds of talks were held with three candidates today (28 January).
Duncan Ferguson, Frank Lampard and Vitor Pereira were all interviewed for the final time in London as a decision neared.

Sharing the news live on Sky Sports (28 January, 4:35 pm), Bela Shah shared the latest breaking news with a decision expected to be imminent.
“Everton are expected to hold a board meeting this evening following today’s interviews regarding the vacant manager position,” it was told.
“Now, Vitor Pereira, Frank Lampard and Duncan Ferguson all holding further talks, it is thought a decision may be made tonight.
“That board meeting is being held tonight.”

Here we go.
The decision is finally being made, and the nerves are growing as each hour passes around Goodison Park.
Farhad Moshiri, along with the likes of Bill Kenwright and Tim Cahill will be racking their brains this evening with the final decision in mind.
Who has made the biggest impression? All three managers will be waiting by the phone to get straight into action if they are given the green light.
With the transfer deadline quickly approaching on Monday, too, a decision this evening will help any new faces come in and possibly bring in a couple of players.
Ferguson will likely remain on the Toffees coaching staff either way, with Lampard appearing to be the favourite for the role.
Pereira was considered a frontrunner for the job, but his strange interview with Sky, alongside the backlash from fans when his name was mentioned, could force a rethink.
It’s happening, fingers crossed for the right name.
