Everton have chance to sign Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek

Everton reportedly have a chance at securing a move for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

According to Alan Myers, the Toffees have a decent opportunity of landing the 24-year-old ahead of the turn of the month.

The 19-cap Netherlands international was a transfer target in the summer as well and they’re looking to make another attempt at securing his services.

Via his personal Twitter account, Myers wrote, “A chance I believe” when asked if he would be an Everton player after deadline day.

Good move?

The Toffees are in dire need of creativity in the middle of the park and van de Beek would solve that dilemma.

Not only is he good with the ball at his feet, he’s got a footballing brain that has seen him make late runs into the box.

At Ajax, he was often unplayable given how sharp he was in tight spaces and gave defenders a nightmare.

He’s nigh on impossible to park and if the system is built around his strengths, he could absolutely be a world beater in it.

Whether or not Frank Lampard would do that remains to be seen, but he could very well find his second Mason Mount in van de Beek and he could be a sensation at the club.
