They say the team are looking for a midfielder, with the new manager being involved in the process however Everton will have to work quickly and decisively to get their targets in.

Everton are currently in 16th place in the Premier League, just four points above the relegation zone.

Push

There is a big need for new quality and fresh blood at the club right now, and Lampard seems like a great fit for that.

The former Chelsea man has good connections with players and clubs across the country and has an idea of how he wants to play, so he should be able to identify targets quickly.

With loans an option for the Toffees, Everton have been linked with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley although it’s unknown if Lampard wants them.

Irrespective of that, the club know what they need and if they can quickly identify who then there is time to get things done and save this window.
