Donny Van De Beek undergoing medical ahead Everton loan

Manchester United midfielder Donny Van De Beek is having his medical ahead of moving to Everton, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports man reported on his personal Twitter account this morning that the Dutchman, 24, is undergoing tests ahead of his switch.

Sky Sport made things clearer on their website, reporting that Van de Beek is in Liverpool undergoing a medical ahead of his loan move to Everton.

Myers said: “Donny Van De Beek having medical ahead of moving to Everton.”

Frank Lampard is expected to be appointed as Everton manager any moment from now, and it appears he is closing in on his first signing for the club.

Van de Beek struggled for playing opportunities at Old Trafford but will now look to break into Everton first XI under their soon-to-be new boss.

The former Ajax star has not particularly impressed since switching the Eredivisie for the Premier League, and he will be keen to prove himself at Goodison Park.

He was close to joining Everton on loan in the summer and is now set to finally get his wish after a torrid first half of the season with his parent club.

Lampard will be hoping he can hit the ground running on Merseyside following their tumultuous start to the campaign under Rafa Benitez, and landing VbB should come in handy.

Everton are currently thin in the middle of the park following injuries to Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph, and the expected arrival of the Dutchman should be a boost.
