Everton put in deal sheet to finalise Dele Alli signing from Tottenham Hotspur

Everton are set to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacker Dele Alli after the 11 pm deadline according to Mike McGrath.

The Telegraph journalist has claimed that the club have put a deal sheet in which will allow them to extend the time they can take to finalise the transfer.

He will be virtually joining on a free and then pay Spurs a fee after a certain number of games are played.

Via his personal Twitter account, McGrath wrote, “Everton have deal sheet in for Dele Alli deal, which can now be completed after the deadline.”

Get it done

There would have been a few nervous faces when the 11pm deadline passed and no announcement was made.

However, the fact that a deal sheet has been submitted means that the transfer is very much on.

Everything appeared to escalate quickly for Alli and it’s a testament to good work put in by the hierarchy.

Everton

Spurs are not an easy club to deal with given how notorious chairman Daniel Levy can be.

This also could be a credit to Frank Lampard who earmarked Alli as one of the players he wants to work with.

Given the fact that the Everton boss was one of the best goal-scoring midfielders in the world, there’s a good chance he could take Alli’s game to the next level.

In other Everton news, the club have made an approach to sign an English attacker before the window closes.
