Sky Sports: Flurry of Everton transfer news expected after appointment of Frank Lampard
Sky Sports are expecting a flurry of Everton transfer news with the appointment of Frank Lampard imminent.
It is reported that the Toffees could go into overdrive today as they finally get set to announce Rafa Benitez’ replacement at Goodison Park.
Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek is expected to be the first arrival of the day on a straight loan deal.

Writing in their live deadline day blog (31 January, 06:58 am), Sky Sports dropped the latest ahead of the announcement coming our way.
“Everton are the next opposition for Brentford in the FA Cup, and it should be Frank Lampard’s first match in charge of the Toffees,” they wrote.
“With Lampard set to be confirmed as Rafael Benitez’s replacement on Monday, it is expected to spark a flurry of activity at Goodison Park.”

Flurry.
Now, this is the news we have been waiting for.
There is one clear area that needs strengthening, and that is the midfield with serious injury worries ravaging through our squad.
Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Fabian Delph, Andre Gomes and Tom Davies have all had their injury problems, and if we’re being honest, most of them haven’t been good enough.
Van de Beek looks to be all-but-done, but this latest Sky Sports update suggests that other moves are on the cards.
Who could Lampard target? Last-gasp moves for the likes of Delle Alli and Idrissa Gueye have already been mooted [David Maddock].
Gueye makes more sense, with a reunion at Goodison Park perfect given his ability to play in holding midfield and allow the likes of Doucoure and Van de Beek to push forward whenever they like.
It’s going to be a huge day full of announcements, and we already can’t wait.
