Curtis Davies shares experience of having Everton boss Frank Lampard as manager
Derby County’s Curtis Davies has told Everton players to expect Frank Lampard to be discipline heavy after he landed the job as the club’s new manager.
Davies worked under Lampard during his one season at Pride Park, where he took them to the playoffs but suffered defeat in the final before leaving for the Chelsea job.
Lampard was officially appointed as Everton boss on Monday and brought in Donny Van de Beek and Dele Alli as his first signings to bolster the squad.

Now Davies, speaking to talkSPORT on Tuesday morning [Feb 1] has told the Everton stars what to expect from Lampard who he says was big on discipline.
“He was very big on discipline,” the Derby defender told talkSPORT.
“As a manager, when you first come in, you want to lay down the law. It wasn’t a power play, as such, because Frank has that aura as a player anyway.
“But he wanted to have a disciplined squad. He thought if he had a disciplined squad off the pitch, he would get one on the pitch as well.
“The fines were hefty. Even for our level, they were hefty. But you didn’t see too many people late. So it obviously worked.”

Boss
If there was any doubt before, there won’t be now. Frank Lampard is the boss when it comes to the football side of things at Everton Football Club.
He will bring with him fresh ideas, a clear plan and experienced staff to execute his demands and help the club get out of the poor situation they’ve been left in.
The Toffees currently sit in 16th place in the league, just four points above the relegation zone, and Lampard will be hoping that he can garner some team spirit and much-needed momentum to turn their fortunes around.
That starts with ensuring standards are high and maintained throughout the club, and getting everyone on the same page to pull in the right direction.
If he has to fine some players big bucks to get them to fall in line, then so be it. No Everton fans will be complaining about it if he gets them to safety and builds on that for next season.
