Frank Lampard wants Ashley Cole on Everton coaching staff, talks take place with decision in days – Sky Sports
Frank Lampard is pushing to bring Ashley Cole to Goodison Park as part of his Everton backroom staff, according to Sky Sports.
It is reported that talks have already taken place between the parties, and a decision is expected in the coming days.
Cole is currently working with Chelsea’s academy, as well as England under-21s, but is being touted strongly by Lampard this week.

Hayley McQueen broke the news this morning, as shared by Football Daily on Twitter as talks continue.
“Little bit of news just coming into us,” she said.
“Frank Lampard wants Ashley Cole to join him as part of his coaching staff at Everton. He’s obviously a former Chelsea left-back, he’s been involved in Chelsea’s academy as well as being a coach in the England under-21 squad.
Jo Wilson continued the story, and shared that a decision is expected imminently with talks having taken place.
“We understand discussions have taken place to bring Lampard’s former teammate on board at Goodison Park, with a decision expected to be made in the next few days.”
Great move.
Lampard is already proving to be a brilliant appointment.
First of all, the former Chelsea man opens doors in the transfer window with his big-name already helping with the signings of Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek on deadline day.
Not only that, but now he is pushing for one of the Premier League’s best players in history to join his coaching staff, with Cole now on his list.
There have been few, if no better left-backs than Cole in the Premier League era from his time with Arsenal and Chelsea, and just imagine what knowledge he could bring to the club.
With young full-backs Vitaliy Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson arriving last month, they must be relishing this opportunity if it materialises.
Lampard is being backed, and hopefully, this can be resolved and confirmed in the coming days – bring it on.
