Everton handed Thomas Muller boost as no new contract on the table
Everton have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller as the player revealed that there has been no contact over a new deal at the Allianz Arena.
The 32-year-old will see his current deal with the Bundesliga champions expire at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season which would make him a free agent this summer.
Bayern are yet to even contact the World Cup winner over an extension of his current deal and that has piqued the interest of Everton.

“No one has ever approached me from the club. So you have to see what the future will bring,” Muller said, speaking to BILD.
“What appeals to me most is sporting success and football at the highest level. Anything is possible in football. But it would certainly be surprising given how well things are going for everyone involved.”
According to the Daily Mail, the Toffees are preparing to make Muller an offer in the summer with Newcastle United also keen on the German attacker.
The next level
The current crop of Everton players are all very talented in their own right, but Muller is a completely different level altogether.
He has won everything he could possibly win at Bayern Munich, multiple times over, along with his World Cup win in 2014.

The addition of him to this Toffees squad would be such an enormous lift for the whole club that would surely boost them to new heights in the Premier League.
His playstyle, which largely consists of him floating into open spaces and creating magic from nothing, is severely lacking at Everton at the moment and they need to do whatever they can to beat Newcastle to his signature.
Unlike the majority of Everton’s team at the moment, Muller has that winner’s mentality that will hopefully rub off on the younger members of the club should he choose Merseyside over the North East.
He would add to the ruthless winner that is Frank Lampard in starting to turn things around at Goodison Park.
In other Everton news, they would have signed this midfielder from St. James’ Park had Rafael Benitez kept his job.
