Piers Morgan sends message to Frank Lampard after Everton appointment this week

Piers Morgan has delivered a message to Frank Lampard after he was appointed the new manager of Everton this week.

The controversial journalist sent a glowing reference, wishing the new Toffees gaffer massive luck.

Morgan insisted that Lampard will turn out to be very good news for Evertonians all over the world after the Rafa Benitez controversy.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Morgan took time to send a message wishing all the luck in the world.

“Good luck to Frank Lampard at Everton,” he wrote.

“No nicer, more genuine guy in world football and obviously, he was one of England’s greatest ever players.

“A fired-up Frank with a point to prove after his Chelsea managerial stint should be very good news for Evertonians.”

Out of nowhere.

Morgan must be very slow to this one, with the news being broke days ago on Monday ahead of the transfer deadline.

Dele Alli and Donny Van de Beek arrived after that, and everything is already looking brighter on Merseyside.

Lampard simply has to be fired up for this role, given his sacking at Chelsea and how that ended, he will want to prove himself more than ever.

Before all of the pressure that comes with trying to stay in the Premier League, Lampard has to navigate through a tricky FA Cup clash with Brentford this weekend.

A big win here would mean everything, and it would kickstart his reign perfectly ahead of the huge games against Newcastle and Leeds.
