Confirmed Everton starting XI v Brentford in Frank Lampard debut
Everton have confirmed their starting XI for their FA Cup clash against Brentford at Goodison Park this afternoon [5 February].
Frank Lampard is taking charge of his first game since being appointed Toffees manager and replacing Rafa Benitez at the helm.
Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Everton have handed starts to the likes of Vitaliy Mykolenko against the Bees.
Obviously, it’s a real shame that Donny Van de Beek and Dele Alli were unable to make their debuts here.
The deadline day duo were both ineligible as they were cup-tied, so hopefully, the lads can put in a good display for them watching along.
This is the first real opportunity for the squad to impress Lampard, and first impressions are key under a new manager.
Who is going to show the boss that they can be counted ahead of a critical week in the Premier League? We shall see.

Here we go.
This is it, Lampard will be a mix of nerves and excitement as he prepares to enter that famous dugout for the first time.
Funnily enough, that is how most of us are feeling at this moment, with this appointment signalling change at the club.
Lampard’s appointment was different, with Farhad Moshiri finally listening to the fans and giving them what they want, rather than throwing money at what he believes is the biggest name available at the time.
Ronald Koeman, Carlo Ancelotti and Benitez all failed, and it is down to Lampard to show that he is different – starting with a win today.
Progression here with a good performance will also set us up perfectly for two huge Premier League games against Newcastle and Leeds next week.
Bring it on.
