Ally McCoist stunned as Everton set to welcome Boreham Wood in FA Cup
Ally McCoist has been left stunned as Everton were handed Boreham Wood in the next round of the FA Cup this weekend.
The talkSPORT pundit insisted the draw was “magic” as the non-league side get set to travel to Goodison Park.
Everton smashed Brentford in their opening game under Frank Lampard, with the 4-1 win being the biggest from any manager in their debut.

Speaking live on talkSPORT Breakfast on Monday morning (07 February), McCoist was stunned by the draw.
“When you get stories like that, the whole story has been great,” he said.
“I wanted Boreham Wood to get a draw away to a Premier League side, it’s magic.”

Magic.
Wow – this is set to be a huge outing for the National League side.
As much as we love a fairytale story after Boreham Wood beat Bournemouth on Sunday evening, this is where it comes to an end.
This is a huge opportunity for Everton, and Lampard will be rubbing his hands together as he looks to bring silverware back to Goodison Park.
We’re not sure there would be a better start than lifting the FA Cup a matter of months after arriving at the club.
There are no doubts that Lampard will yet again name a very strong side when this game comes around, and there can be no sympathy.
For now, it is time for all attention to switch to the Premier League and huge games against Newcastle and Leeds.
We have to be ruthless, and we already can’t wait – bring it on.
