Jeff Stelling: Everton clash v Leeds United is ‘huge’ for Frank Lampard
Jeff Stelling has insisted that the Everton clash against Leeds United this afternoon is “huge” for Frank Lampard.
The Sky Sports host believes that the honeymoon period is already over after the 3-1 defeat at Newcastle in midweek.
Lampard got a warm welcome in the FA Cup win over Brentford last week, with another big atmosphere expected today.

Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday this afternoon [12 February], Stelling previewed today’s showdown.
“Frank Lampard did get a warm welcome at Goodison Park last week,” he said.
“The honeymoon period went after that defeat at Newcastle, it makes today’s game with Leeds a huge one.”

Must win.
There are no two ways about it, Everton need to pick up three points.
After allowing Newcastle back into it in midweek, another defeat here could see the Toffees drop into the relegation zone and that is unheard of.
Thankfully, Norwick take on Manchester City this weekend, so we can’t see that going their way to jump over us if they could.
If Leeds walk away with the win, they would be seven points ahead of us – is that acceptable? We don’t think so.
It will take time with Lampard and his methods, but he certainly will have crashed down to earth in midweek after injuries and the defeat at Newcastle highlighted very big problems.
The Goodison faithful will play a huge part in helping the Blues today, and it is up to us to get the lads across the line – bring it on.
