Huge win

Lampard said after the match that it was a huge relief for him to get the first Premier League win after losing 3-1 against Newcastle United in the previous game.

The table looks slightly better this week but more than anything it’s the performance that should please the new Toffees boss.

Seamus Coleman opened the scoring inside 10 minutes when he tapped in a rebound from Donny van de Beek’s cross.

Michael Keane made it 2-0 before the break. Anthony Gordon continued his impressive form and added another in the second half to complete a memorable win for the Toffees.

Van de Beek, who was handed a start was the star of the show and he was heavily involved, with Leeds failing to pose any threat.

Jordan Pickford was rarely tested. The England goalkeeper managed to keep his first clean sheet in 13 games. Everton ended up with 21 shots on goal.
