Everton realistic destination for Anderlecht defender Sergio Gomez
Everton are reportedly one of the realistic clubs to seal Anderlecht left-back Sergio Gomez’s services in the summer transfer window.
According to Voetbal Nieuws, Southampton and the Toffees are the likeliest landing spots for the 21-year-old.
The report claims that fellow Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen on securing his services.

However, the two top-six clubs have established left-backs already and good back-ups for their first-choice options.
They’re able to afford the best players in Europe, due to which they’ve got quality depth in their ranks.
Everton, on the other hand, recently parted ways with arguably their best player in Lucas Digne.
While they signed Vitaliy Mykolenko, he’s yet to find his feet in the Premier League and they certainly need to sign a backup or someone to challenge him for a first-team berth.
The 21-year-old is unlikely to favour a move to one of Europe’s elite clubs as he’s not going to be a regular starter there.

At Everton, he could impress Frank Lampard and nail his spot in the playing eleven.
Mykolenko was signed before Rafa Benitez was even sacked so he could’ve been roped in on the orders of the Spaniard.
Lampard may not fancy him that much and could make Gomez his first-choice left-back for the foreseeable future.
