Everton boss Frank Lampard shocks William Gallas with what he is doing
Frank Lampard’s transition into management seemed to be an obvious one as the Everton boss continues his positive start at Goodison Park.
Not a year after retiring, he took charge of Derby before taking the reigns at Chelsea in the Premier League.
He spent some time away from the game before returning to the hot seat with the Toffees but he has shown no signs of rustiness since his arrival at Finch Farm.

His former Chelsea teammate William Gallas, however, was shocked to see the England international go into management as it wasn’t something they spoke about while together at Stamford Bridge.
“I never expected him to be a manager,” Gallas told talkSPORT.
“When I was playing with him we never talked about this – maybe he talked about this with John Terry because they were very close.
“I never expected him to be a manager but I’m very happy for him because he did a good job at Derby, and unfortunately at Chelsea, he didn’t have time to show what he could do.
“I’m sure with more experience he can maybe be one of the best English managers.”
Everyone has that surprise in them
Lampard’s decision to go into management probably wasn’t that much of a shock to the majority of football fans but that’s because we don’t know what he is like away from the turf.

Gallas clearly had no idea he wanted to try his hand as the main man but he should have known how everyone can cause a surprise like that.
It happens every single week with the starting 11 that some managers select or transfer rumours that arise that you can never see happening, but they do.
That is the beauty of football nowadays as you never quite know what might happen one day to the next.
We could wake up tomorrow to find out that Jordan Pickford has been forced to miss the game away at Southampton and that would be a big shock to Toffees fans.
It’s why we love the game as no two days are ever the same and long may it continue.
In other Everton news, another long injury blow has struck this Toffees star as Lampard offers an update.
