Frank Lampard calls for patience for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Frank Lampard has called for patience for Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin as he continues to work his way back to his best after injury.
The England international has had a stop start season having suffered a quadricep Injury in September.
Lampard expects the 24-year-old talisman to be a “big threat” once he returns to his best.

“A striker at the top end of the pitch is always at the edge in sharpness, and we can’t expect all of that.” He told Liverpool ECHO.
“I thought he was really good last week against Leeds. Again, today I think you would have a case to say that after the first 20 minutes and early in the second half, he didn’t get enough service.
“We didn’t play through the lines well enough. We can’t use Dominic as a battering ram, he has too much quality for that and I don’t want to use him that way.
“It’s two-fold – make sure we give him time and give him service to play around him as much as we can.
“It wasn’t a game to judge Dominic on goal input today. We know that when he gets fit, we get better.
“He will be a big threat for us.”

Future legend?
Calvert-Lewin is great, isn’t he? The lad gives his absolute everything every single time he puts on the famous blue shirt. You could never question his desire or commitment to the team.
His character is almost faultless but a big part of his brilliant attitude and success needs to given to Duncan Ferguson.
The former Sheffield United player really hit the ground running not only in his performances on the pitch but also how he conducted himself off the pitch since working with the Scottish legend.
If there is anyone you want to learn the Everton way of life from its Big Dunc and Calvert-Lewin has all of the potential to be just as big of a Toffees legend as his coach if he continues in the same way.
However, that is a lot of pressure on the striker. For now, he just needs to focus on his football and working his way back to full fitness under the new boss.
