Richard Keys urges Everton to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga

Richard Keys wants Frank Lampard to bring his former goalkeeper and Chelsea number two Kepa Arrizabalaga to Everton.

In a bizarre anti Jordan Pickford rant, Keys has asked Lampard to replace the England number one.

He then name-dropped a few goalkeepers and believes that the Spain international could be a player Lampard could be interested in signing.

He wrote on his blog, “It’s too late this season – but what chance Lampard goes back to Chelsea for Kepa? I would.

“I know Lampard didn’t fancy him at The Bridge, but he’s better than Pickford, Henderson or any other option you can think of that’s available right now.

“He’s also too good to be No2 at Chelsea. Lampard knows him.”

Bolt from the blue

Of all the keepers in Europe, Keys had to suggest one who has struggled in the Premier League.

While he was signed by Chelsea before Lampard was in charge, there are no guarantees that the former England international wanted him at the club.

He came on as their record signing and failed to live up to his billing.

He was lauded for his “magnificent” reflexes prior to making his move to Stamford Bridge and there was a real feeling that they have signed the next top goalkeeper.

However, he always seemed like he had an error in him and had an infamous moment when he defied Maurizio Sarri and refused to be subbed off.

This is certainly not the type of player Lampard would want at Everton and there’s no chance that this happens.
